To take a photograph within this fast motion, Angel would have had to have used a fast shutter speed to capture such a moment in great quality without any blur. I also really am inspired in how each piece of pollen is being seen through the photograph and the way in which the photograph is very focused, almost as if the photograph has completely frozen this plant in time. The black background contrasting against the bright, florescent plant shows great effectiveness for the way this photograph is presented. Angel has also taken photographs of nature in motion 9 such as the photograph of the plant letting out pollen) and I feel that these photographs are really great for showing how nature works. It allows the viewer to look deeper in what nature has installed for us and how it is sometimes the smaller things in nature that create a bigger picture.

I feel that it has a very powerful way on how the smaller parts of nature are what are more interesting than the whole of nature in one big picture. The way in which Angel has focused the image on the foreground and blurred out the background in some of these photographs is a very effective method for me as for I feel that it entices the viewer into looking purely on the incest itself and not taking notice of the bigger habitat in which they live in. I will however incorporate the idea of taking photographs of the insects from nature but I will be photographing them in a more natural environment, capturing them in their home habitat. Taking the insects out of their natural environment does however show focus purely on the insect but unfortunately I feel as though they look a little misplaced and it looks to simple. The use of the simple background against the insects is very well done but I feel as though it does not capture the insects living in their natural habitat and so the photographs are not as effective as the ones where the insect in in the natural environment of where it would be.Īngels ‘eye of the Parrot’ photograph using a macro lens The use of the macro lens being used here is very skilful as for it would take a long time having to adjust the focus on the lens and the fact that she has still been able to gain a detailed and incredible photo of such small things such as a fly’s eye.

These photographs fascinate me because of the intense detail that is being shown throughout each photograph form something so small and insignificant form nature and it makes you realise that nature is full of beautiful things other than what is only in the big picture. Her photographs include photographs of animals and insects eyes and the way in which they are different to each other in different ways and also she takes photographs of insects on a white background to look at how the insects look just as they are and the shadows they produce under a certain type of lighting. her passion for photographing Mammals and insects led to her to leave her job as a Marine Biologist.Īngels ‘inside a kiwi’ textured photograph
